Operations Coordinator in Freight Forwarding
We are now looking for an operations coordinator with experience in freight forwarding and logistics who wants to help drive the work of the agency's freight forwarding operations forward. Do you want to work with tasks that ensure we contribute to making Sweden and the world safer? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
About the Position
We are looking for an operations coordinator in freight forwarding who wants to help develop FMV's freight forwarding operations. The role has a clear focus on improving work methods, strengthening the organization's competence, and ensuring effective and quality-assured handling of transport, hazardous goods, and customs matters in an operation that is important for Sweden's defense capability.
A large part of your work involves developing processes and routines in the freight forwarding area and ensuring that they comply with current regulations and agency requirements. You will produce and manage governing and supporting documents and drive improvement initiatives that contribute to a more efficient and uniform handling of transport.
You will also play an important role in strengthening internal knowledge. This means that you will develop training materials, conduct training sessions, and act as a support to the organization in matters related to freight forwarding, customs handling, and transport planning.
The role also includes strategic work where you provide advice, follow developments in the area, and collaborate with other agencies, suppliers, and carriers. You will also participate in audits and other quality assurance activities. In addition, you will lead projects related to development and improvement work in the freight forwarding area and be responsible for creating structure, progress, and good results.
The position is based in Arboga and involves travel, both domestically and internationally.
About You
We are looking for someone with education in logistics or freight forwarding, or equivalent experience that we consider comparable. You have experience in project management within the logistics or freight forwarding area and are accustomed to working with transport planning in both national and international flows. Experience in customs handling is also required. You need to have very good knowledge of Swedish as well as good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. The position also requires good knowledge of the Office suite.
It is an advantage if you have project management training and in-depth knowledge of freight forwarding. We would also like to see experience in business and process development, as well as experience in developing and implementing training initiatives in the area. If you have previously worked with public procurement or security-protected procurement, we see it as a benefit. We also view knowledge of security protection issues positively.
Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who works in a structured manner, has good analytical skills, and thrives in a role where you collaborate closely with both internal and external parties. You take initiative, create engagement, and have the ability to motivate and support others. Economic understanding and a business-like approach are important.
